Back in January, I noted that momentum in the clinical communication market was accelerating as health systems begin to realize the benefits of not only upgrading their communication solutions but also integrating with other clinical systems. We’ve seen that bear out this year, as hospitals really hit their stride in replacing pagers and legacy phones with powerful communication platforms that do much more than simple text messaging.
As we mark 10 years since Voalte introduced smartphones into hospitals, clinical communication has become an integral component of the healthcare technology ecosystem. Take a look at this recent article in Advance Healthcare for Health Information Professionals, which pointed out, “Clinical communication is foundational for both patient safety and quality care.”
Throughout 2018, our customers have been integrating Voalte Platform with data from the EHR, biomedical devices, and hospital pharmacies and labs. It’s been gratifying to hear that doing so has empowered their caregivers to be more connected, informed and responsive to patient needs. It’s also easy to see how these improvements translate into many of the key performance initiatives (KPIs) that every hospital is working toward: reducing ED wait times, improving medication administration and boosting HCAHPS, to name just a few.
You can hear more about the amazing results our customers are realizing from their investment in Voalte Platform at HIMSS19 in February. Come see us at Booth 2287 in Orlando to see how upgrading to a powerful communication platform can affect your KPIs. You can also learn how our new analytics solution, Voalte Insight, is making it possible for our customers to analyze their use of communication systems and clinical workflows.
I’m looking forward to seeing many customers, colleagues and friends in Orlando at this important industry event. In the meantime, I wish you a wonderful holiday season and a happy New Year!
