Last month, independent research firm KLAS named Voalte Category Leader in the 2017 Best in KLAS Awards for Secure Communications Platform. That’s a huge accomplishment, especially considering our company was launched only eight years ago. At that time we were also No. 1, as the first to develop a smartphone solution for healthcare communication. Being “the first and the best” is an honor, for sure, but it’s also a big responsibility.
While thinking about what it means to be No. 1, I took a look at some popular lists to see what, and who, else is top-ranked this month. In music, Ed Sheeran (one of my favorite artists) tops the Billboard charts with “Shape of You,” while at the box office, it’s “LEGO Batman” (not high on my list of date-night movies, but something I’d definitely go see with my nephews). But how does that relate to us?
In good company.
Unlike the world of entertainment, in healthcare IT, being ranked No. 1 isn’t a popularity contest. As KLAS said in its announcement of this year’s top vendors, “The title of Best in KLAS is hard-earned recognition by providers and payers of outstanding efforts by vendors to help healthcare professionals deliver better patient care.”
That’s a responsibility we take very seriously here at Voalte, and it’s at the heart of our vision to create life-changing healthcare communication tools. We started out eight years ago to bridge the gap between technology and care, and that’s what we are still dedicated to today.
Take a look at the other healthcare technology companies at the top of their markets as ranked by KLAS, and you’ll find major leaders such as Epic, Cerner, GE Healthcare, Philips Healthcare, and our partner Connexall, which was ranked No. 1 by KLAS for Alarm Management. We’re certainly in good company, and we appreciate the fact that our customers recognize the quality of our solutions and services.
Leading the way.
Just because we’re rated No. 1, doesn’t mean our work is done. In fact, it means we need to continue to innovate and challenge not only ourselves, but also the industry. What differentiates Voalte from other healthcare communication companies and positions us at the top of our market?
- Collaboration with our customers. We deliver solutions for all types of healthcare organizations, from major academic medical centers to small community hospitals and everything in between. Every one of them has played a key role in shaping our solutions so they can provide high-quality patient care, improve patient safety, keep caregivers connected and increase efficiency. In fact, our customers have achieved some impressive patient outcomes using Voalte Platform.
This is just the beginning. With the help and collaboration of our customers, we’ll continue to drive healthcare communication to the next level.
- Dedication of our Services team. Working closely with our customers, our clinical and technical experts deploy a comprehensive communication platform that not only replaces legacy phones and overhead paging, but also improves clinical workflow processes, manages alarms and alerts, and increases clinician and patient satisfaction. For the past eight years, we’ve worked closely with nurses, physicians, therapists and others to understand how they work. Once we understand our customers’ needs, we deploy our solutions using a process that is solid, yet flexible enough to accommodate the unique requirements and environment of each facility. We frequently hear that the expertise of our Services team was critical to a customer’s deployment of Voalte Platform, and we are always looking for new ways to work together and improve our process.
- Our commitment to innovation. We’re dedicated to improving the lives of caregivers and the patients they serve by continuing to develop new technologies and create unique integrations with our partners. As the leader in the field, it’s our duty to continue to work hard to take healthcare communication to the next level, and we’re fully committed to making that happen.
