I’ve been hearing a lot of noise lately from small companies claiming to offer mobile communication solutions for hospital caregivers. While some of them may be working on solving a small piece of the mobility strategy puzzle, no company other than Voalte has a comprehensive solution that’s been thoroughly tested beyond the pilot phase at multiple sites.
We’ve been integrating smartphones in hospitals for more than five years, and now have 35,000 Voalte users in over 30 medical facilities throughout the country. Some sites have successfully deployed our mobile platform on an enterprise level, with 1,000 devices or more.
As we start 2014, we have 100 hospitals under contract to implement Voalte smartphones this year. In addition to integrating voice, alarm and text communication in medical facilities across the country, we’re partnering with major EMR vendors to provide a mobile connection to medical records, giving our customers even greater benefits.
If you’re considering a mobile communication solution, take the time to ask potential vendors at least three questions:
- Is it scalable? A basic texting application may be easy to demonstrate and simple to sell with a beautifully designed PowerPoint presentation, but if it can’t scale to your needs, it’s not worth your time or financial investment.
- Is it sustainable? The healthcare industry changes quickly. A solution that only answers today’s challenges and doesn’t build a solid foundation for a complete mobility platform may become obsolete with the next round of governmental mandates. Be careful you’re not banking on a vendor who can handle only one of your overall communication needs with promises to tackle the others later.
- Is it verifiable? Don’t get tricked into a developer-partner relationship with a vendor offering “vaporware” that’s not yet ready for prime time. Before entering into an agreement, ask for five or ten live site references, and check them out thoroughly.
I think you’ll find Voalte is the only company with a solution that’s available right now, with numerous live sites managing multiple parts of a comprehensive mobile platform. But don’t take my word for it: Ask our customers how Voalte smartphones help improve the way their caregivers communicate, ease their workflow challenges and even create more time for patient care.
Send email to email@example.com or give us a call today at 877-862-5831, and a member of our sales team will be happy to connect you with Voalte customers in your region. In the meantime, take a look at our Case Studies to see how caregivers at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, TIRR Memorial Hermann, and St. Joseph Mercy Oakland are using Voalte smartphones. Our scalable, sustainable alternative to healthcare communication is being proven effective at these and other hospitals every day.
