Growth chartYou’ve probably heard the old business adage that says the key to success is surrounding yourself with great people. I have to agree. Building a strong team has been vital to our success at Voalte.

With the mHealth market projected to grow eight-fold from $5.1 billion in 2013 to $41.8 billion in 2023, we are fortunate to be surrounding ourselves with more great people. As we announced last week, our new Board of Directors will help Voalte continue to grow rapidly, providing a level of expertise and support that is unmatched in the mHealth industry.

Anyone who has started a company or helped grow a young company knows that some lessons can be learned only through experience. Voalte will benefit from the experience of serial CEOs Tom Johnson, former Founder and CEO of Global Imaging Systems, and Michael Marvin, Founder, first CEO and Chairman Emeritus of MapInfo Corp. Their input and leadership will prove extremely valuable as Voalte transforms from a small company to an industry leader.

It’s also important to understand the challenges facing our customers and recognize how market dynamics are shaping the healthcare industry. We will depend on the insights of executives from some of the country’s leading health systems, including Nico Arcino, ‎Senior Director at Kaiser Permanente (a Voalte customer), and Jeffrey Lozon, former President and CEO of Revera. Having a customer on the board will provide constant feedback and help us ensure that customer concerns are always at the forefront of our overall strategy.

Also providing expertise in that area is Isobel Harris, Chief Customer Officer of PeopleFluent. She brings us a wealth of knowledge in customer experience, services and support, and scaling an organization for rapid growth.

In addition to engaging in high-level planning, the new board members will roll up their sleeves and dig right in to our day-to-day business. Their valuable support comes as we mark a record quarter, with our highest-ever number of hospitals under contract and the most hospitals taken live with Voalte technologies. With the guidance of the great people surrounding us, the future looks bright for Voalte and the booming mHealth industry.
