Connected with Trey Lauderdale

During a visit to one of our largest customers last week, I ran into a float nurse who happened to be working on a floor that had not yet installed Voalte. We got to talking and in the midst of our conversation, she began to express the separation anxiety she was experiencing that day by not having access to a Voalte iPhone.

After our conversation, I realized how smartphones are no longer a nice to have, but a NEED to have for clinicians. Beyond using smartphones for voice, alarms, and text messaging, clinicians are also using smartphones for:

  • Reference Information
  • Medical Identification
  • Human Anatomy Atlas
  • Tables and Calculators

With all of the applications being placed on smartphone devices, a mobile device management strategy is absolutely fundamental in keeping the information on the devices up-to-date.

This month at Voalte, we are pleased to introduce, Voalte Connect, a mobile device management solution that helps hospitals better control and protect their data as well as greatly reduce cost and risk.

Has your organization begun to craft an application roadmap strategy for your smartphone rollout? Is mobile device management a part of it?

If you have any questions about integrating smartphones at the point of care, Voalte would love to help out!

- All the best, Trey Lauderdale, Founder and VP of Innovation
