Pathway to Excellence. Hospitals on the Right Track!

Everyone is familiar with “The Magnet Recognition Program” created by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) to recognize healthcare organizations that provide nursing excellence. Not very many people, however, are familiar with a different ANCC program - the Pathway to Excellence designation.

This last week I had the pleasure of joining a few hundred nurses and nurse managers at the first ever Pathway to Excellence Conference in Austin, TX. Pathway to Excellence focuses on creating a positive work environment for nursing staff members where they can develop professionally and have a positive work environment.

The conference was filled with speakers from a number of organizations and many inspirational stories of nursing leadership and best practices were shared. It was incredible to see how much the program has grown in the few years it has been around since being acquired from the Texas Nurses Association.

At Voalte, nothing matters more than giving our nurses the tools and environment they need to take care of patients. Congratulations to ANCC for launching a second program that helps promote nurse satisfaction and professional development of our caregivers.

Need to Find Someone? There's a Verb for That!

Recently, I was privileged to be part of a workflow redesign team for a 75-bed ECC at one of our hospitals.
