You know the feeling when your favorite local restaurant becomes the hottest table in town? You read the food critics’ rave reviews and think to yourself, “I knew that already.”
That’s how I felt earlier this month, when research firm Frost & Sullivan named mHealth among the top three growth markets in healthcare for 2013. Based on a global survey of 1,835 executives, they found, “…as more healthcare IT and patient monitoring tools are integrated, every hospital facility will eventually have to acquire a fully-enterprise wireless solution. The most innovative mobile healthcare solutions that best meet pressing healthcare needs will be adopted as the gold standard.”
The Frost & Sullivan survey further stated, “Enterprise-wide healthcare informatics will also improve the quality of medical services and the efficiency of operations while reducing expenditures.”
As Voalte wraps up our fifth year, we’re proud to be a major force driving the emerging mHealth market forward. We’ve been stressing for years the importance of integrating IT and patient monitoring tools, and the value of providing a comprehensive mobility strategy to meet the needs of the entire enterprise. We’ve emphasized the ways mobile technology can impact a hospital’s quality of care, operational efficiencies and bottom line.
Many Voalte customer hospitals – from major institutions such as Cedars-Sinai in Los Angeles to our local Sarasota Memorial Health Care in Florida – are now using Voalte alternatives as a platform for their overall mobility strategy. Rather than simply solving today’s communication challenges, they are tying in with other mobile technologies for a comprehensive solution to upcoming governmental mandates and reimbursements.
We’ve made huge progress this year by working closely with our customers and partners, and we’re looking forward to announcing some major initiatives in 2014. For now, I’d like to invite you to take a look at the new design of the Voalte website. In addition to the brilliant colors and clean lines, I think you’ll find our updated website offers a wealth of important information about what’s happening in mHealth. Browse through our blog posts and you’ll see how the industry has evolved over the past five years. We were there at the beginning, and we always knew it was going to be big.
Happy New Year!
