It’s going to be an exciting week. On the heels of last week’s announcement that Voalte raised $36 million in Series C funding, this week we have 30 team members in Orlando at HIMSS14, the annual conference dedicated to “better health through information technology.”
At tonight’s welcome reception at the Hyatt Regency, it was immediately apparent that thousands of people throughout the country, from various parts of the healthcare industry, are working hard to make the mission of HIMSS a reality. Over a plate of pasta and a glass of wine, I met a software developer from Boston who is creating programs to help the disabled and elderly file for health benefits and remain living in their homes. I chatted with an adjunct professor from Bellevue, Washington, who educates her students on the intricate ins-and-outs of EMR coding. And I was fortunate to run into the CIO of a quality control firm in Maryland who graciously shared his wireless iPhone charger with our battery-starved Marketing team.
These and other conversations throughout the evening made it clear: The goal of HIMSS, and all attendees, is to make healthcare better for everyone. At Voalte, we’re proud to be here as a leader of the dynamic mobile health sector, promoting our mission to reimagine healthcare communication. If you’re in Orlando this week, be sure to stop by Booth 2793 to learn how our three-part Mobile Communication Strategy will help your caregivers communicate with teams inside and outside the hospital, and collaborate with existing and future technologies. You can’t miss us: Just look for our bright pink pants!
